Delivery Terms

Standard transactions are on CNF (Cost and Freight — freight included, no insurance) terms. Risk transfers to the buyer at the time of loading on board the vessel. Title transfers to the buyer upon confirmed receipt of full payment. CIF (insurance included) terms are available on request.

Collecting Your Vehicle at the Destination Port

  1. Confirm vessel arrival with the shipping line or your local freight agent.
  2. For Surrendered B/L: Present your ID and invoice to the shipping agent to initiate cargo release. For Original B/L: Present the original B/L to the shipping agent or port authority.
  3. Pay all applicable import duties, taxes, port handling charges, and terminal fees.
  4. Complete customs clearance formalities through a licensed customs broker.
  5. Collect your vehicle from the port storage yard.

Shipping Documents & Customs Clearance

All relevant shipping documents (B/L, Export Certificate, Invoice, Packing List) are required for customs clearance. JCT dispatches or processes documents promptly after confirming full payment. If you have not received your documents within the expected timeframe, please contact us immediately at info@japancirculartrading.com or via WhatsApp.

Buyer's Responsibilities at Import

  • All import duties and taxes in the destination country
  • Customs clearance fees and customs broker charges
  • Port storage / demurrage charges if delays occur at the destination port
  • Compliance with all import regulations and legal requirements of the destination country
  • Any modifications required to meet local roadworthiness or emissions standards
  • Compliance with vehicle age restrictions, engine displacement limits, and other import conditions applicable in the destination country. If import is refused at the destination port due to such regulations, JCT is not liable to refund any costs already incurred (freight, export processing, auction fees, etc.).

⚠ Vehicle Age & Import Restrictions: JCT has encountered cases where vehicles were refused import at the destination port due to vehicle age or other regulations. Import rules are subject to change — please confirm the latest requirements for your country before every order.
